Lisa Albinus
Lisa is an open-water swim instructor, outdoor adventure guide, triathlon coach, Inspire Athletico personal trainer, and funseeker/sunseeker for all things aquatic.
Once she found out that Scamander is the warmest place in Tasmania with the most days of sunshine and has the highest ever recorded temperature, she moved from Adelaide to Tassie’s East Coast almost immediately! The awe-inspiring coastline has fueled her passion for more open-water swimming.
Lisa has over 20 years of triathlon and open-water coaching experience, is a patrolling member of the Bicheno Surf Lifesaving Club and leads Women Mountain Bike retreats in Tasmania.
She is always keen to encourage people to explore new opportunities and is excited to see them achieve their goals, a theme that prevailed in her 30 years of working with people with a disability in opening many doors to new possibilities.
As an athlete herself, Lisa is an Australian age group representative in Standard Triathlon, Ironman, Duathlon and Aquathon. Her open-water swim event highlights include Magnetic Island to Townsville 8km, The Devil of Swim 5km and many others over the years.
Lisa is also a keen water skier, armpit surfer, rock climber, scuba diver, kayaker, snowboarder, cross-country skier, bushwalker and loves playing with her equally adventurous dog!
